California love

“Make sure you like the energy and personality of your videographers because you have to feel comfortable with their direction and with them on the other side of the camera shooting your scenes.” - Theresa (the bride)

The sunny California is definitely a beautiful adventure. Every place is inspiring and the people are full of positivity. For their wedding, Theresa and Dallas chose Palm Springs, the place that looks like a movie set, and everywhere you walk you expect someone to say “aaaand Action”!  The days we’ve spent together felt like a beautiful journey with friends. They have carried us through all the emotions as their wedding gathered friends from different states and the energy was pure joy, just how we like it. For the creative part we worked with the amazing Lilly and her husband Vic and we can say for sure we have two new friends.

The amazing Artisan Events made this event go smoothly and their floral decorations are just pure beauty. The pre-wedding reception, ceremony and the wedding party took place at the beautiful Colony Palms Hotel. The preparations and the ceremony were a perfect mix of emotions and fun, and the party had the soundtrack of the crazy Yachtley Crew band. And if you thought that this was it, no, no! The next day, everybody put on their swimming suits and the day was transformed into a big party with friends dancing to Leyouth’s mix.

We were fortunate enough to have extra hours with them the next day at sunrise and sunset and filmed some shots just with both of them in the beautiful Moorten Botanical Garden, Joshua Tree and The Palm Springs Windmills. Theresa and Dallas took us on a rollercoaster of emotions and we tried to contour and color their story in a cinematic film.

Read Theresa’s answers and discover the wedding through her eyes. If you want to feel the ride we took on the magic carpet, hop and see “A whole new world” through our lenses.

Describe the wedding. How did de preparations go?

Our wedding weekend was one of the best weekends of our lives. We booked our venue over a year out so it gave us time to really be thoughtful about who we included in our wedding festivities. All of our vendors we carefully selected. We made it a point to stay true to ourselves and create an event that felt like us.

What would you do and what not, if you had to organize the wedding again?

Honestly, we talk about this all the time and agree that we wouldn’t have changed a thing.

How was the night?

The wedding night was amazing. The ceremony felt small and intimate, just like we wanted. The speeches were personal and meant so much to us. The band was so entertaining and put on an epic show. We had a late night taco truck and our friend DJ’d the after party.

Describe the collaboration with us. What did you feel when you saw the wedding film for the first time?

We had a blast shooting the video with you both. It’s easy to see that you both care deeply about your work. You made it easy for us to work through all the scenes and I love how excited you got when the shot came out the way you envisioned or when you came up with a new idea for what to shoot. When we saw our video it was like watching a movie unfold. The way you blended our words with the different scenes was incredible.  You really took your time to tell our story. The first time we watched the video it was a little emotionally  overwhelming.  The more times we watched it the more we noticed little things that you weaved into it.

What advice would you give to other future groom and bride that are looking for a videography team for their wedding day?

Make sure you like the energy and personality of your videographers because you have to feel comfortable with their direction and with them on the other side of the camera shooting your scenes. Working with Ionut and Veronica felt like hanging out with good friends. We had a blast and couldn’t be happier with our video.
